We’re excited to share our new song Microcosm. This is our first release in a good while. After taking a long break from writing, this was the first track that brought us back into the creative headspace. It started without a clear plan or concept — just a blank project file and a desire to make something again.

As the track started to come together, we realized the project itself had become the inspiration. That’s where the name Microcosm came from — the idea that the song could be its own little self-contained world. It’s our interpretation of what the word “microcosm” might sound like, both sonically and emotionally.

This song is also a bit of a departure for us. We usually write using traditional instruments, but Microcosm is fully electronic, tracked in Ableton, then mixed and mastered in Pro Tools. It felt good to experiment and let the process be a little unpredictable.

Thanks for listening — we hope Microcosm feels like a small world you can step into, even if just for a few minutes. Now streaming everywhere!

“Moves Like You”, is a song of reminiscence. It all happened so fast: she was here and now she’s not. Still, I can’t help but relive it because nobody moves like you.

“Who’s to Blame” is a reflection on a relationship that was great and now ending. There’s sweet remembrance and the pain of regret and still there’s Love as the singer asks, “Are you OK?”

But mainly, it’s a question: “Who’s to Blame?”

Wonder Why” is a love song. The song explores the development of a relationship and the doubt in the singer’s partner on why they love them. The singer comforts them with, “You don’t have to Wonder Why.”

“I can be your Only Friend.” A person loves someone - it hurts them that the someone is in emotional pain. They want more from the relationship, but they’ll be there no matter what…

“What to Say” is about the pain of being in love with someone who makes you feel so good, but doesn’t feel the same. But there’s hope, if “You could just change your ways.”

“The Answer” is about the in-between state of a relationship. Sometimes it's hard to know if you should take the next step or stay where you are. This song is about the internal struggle between the fear of commitment and fear of regretting not making the next move in a relationship.

“You’re Too Late” is about being at two different places in a relationship. The singer is moving on, the other person is finding out, “Now, it’s a little too late”.
